"I excitedly went in at opening time on a Saturday. I picked out an item after 20-ish minutes of me fretting over myself. When I went to purchase the item and make small talk, options about how to wear said item came up. I mention a clubbing/rave look followed up by 'but I feel that I am too old to wear something like that out'. My cashier responded by saying she thought we were a similar age and how she will continue to dress however she likes and no one will tell her otherwise. Great for her. However, I did not find her response appropriate as there are many reasons many women may not wear a revealing outfit out of their homes. I, myself, am on a weight loss and self worth journey, this item was supposed to be a step in that journey and now I have this conversation stuck in my head when I look at this expensive item. Did the cashier mean to make me feel this way? No. But working in an adult environment as Veronica's Closet, I would expect a little bit more awareness about what is being said to customers and how the representatives come across"
